Ezri Konsa could make his Arsenal debut against former club Aston Villa next weekend.
Konsa has completed his £51m transfer to the Premier League champions and has signed a four-year deal at Arsenal, with the option of an extension for a further season.
The 28-year-old has arrived at Arsenal as Mikel Arteta sought defensive depth, amid injuries to William Saliba and Jurrien Timber. Konsa becomes Arsenal’s fourth signing of the summer window after deals for Illan Meslier, Christos Tzolis and Bruno Guimaraes.
The England international’s arrival comes too late to feature in Arsenal’s Premier League opener against Coventry City at the Emirates this evening, meaning Konsa’s first Arsenal appearance could come in a familiar setting.
The Gunners travel to Villa Park to face Aston Villa in their second fixture of the campaign on August 31st.
