Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been defiantly denied that the club are about to sell Philippe Coutinho.
Brazilian playemaker Coutinho has been strongly linked with making a move to Barcelona this summer.
However after signing a new long-term contract last summer, Jurgen Klopp is adamant that the club do not have to sell their star man.
“There are absolutely no plans [to sell him].
What our owners say is there is the absolute opportunity not to sell anybody if we do not want to.
That means we can bring in others players, and it is a good situation.
We have a stable squad with a good basis. We want to bring a few in with fresh blood but nobody will leave us without our say so I am completely relaxed about this.”
Reports suggested last week that Coutinho has been given assurances by Barcelona that if he were to move to the Nou Camp, he would be a part of the starting XI.
This has led for Coutinho to agree to put pressure on Liverpool to secure his departure.
However, he is also thought to be very happy at Liverpool, and should a move not happen, he is happy to continue his development in the Premier League.
Should Liverpool stand firm or should they cash in whilst the price is high? How much is Coutinho worth? Leave us your thoughts.
