Josh King is reportedly attracting interest from four of the Premier League’s top six with the Bournemouth forward expected to leave the club this summer.
The Norway international will have just a year remaining on his contract at the Vitality Stadium this summer and was subject of interest from former side Manchester United in January, the club seeing a £20m deadline day bid rejected by the Cherries.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains a fan of his compatriot and is believed to be keen on adding to his attacking options this summer, especially if Odion Ighalo – signed following their failure to sign King – returns to Shanghai Shenhua following the expiry of his loan deal at Old Trafford.
According to Sky Sports, however, United are set to face competition for King from several of the Premier League‘s leading sides, with four of the ‘big six’ reportedly interested in signing the 28-year-old this summer, the report highlighting Chelsea‘s desire to bolster their attacking options this summer – though it doesn’t name the other two interested clubs.
King signed for Bournemouth on a free transfer from Blackburn five years ago and has since scored 46 league goals in 158 appearances, whilst his versatility in being comfortable playing wide or centrally is believed to appeal to his prospective suitors.
The increasing likelihood of the forward’s exit is set to be another blow to Eddie Howe’s side, with winger Ryan Fraser also expected to depart on a free transfer this summer after failing to agree terms on a new contract.
