Jordan Henderson has not been included in the Liverpool squad for the club’s first pre-season friendly as talks continue over a move to Al Ettifaq.
Henderson has received an approach from Al Ettifaq, who are under the management of former Liverpool team-mate Steven Gerrard, and is understood to be open to the move after 12 seasons at Anfield.
Negotiations are ongoing between the clubs with Liverpool demanding a fee for the midfielder, who is contracted until 2025.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Henderson will not be included in the squad for Liverpool’s pre-season friendly with Karlsreuher SC on Wednesday evening, as negotiations continue over a potential exit.
Liverpool have received several offers from Saudi Pro League sides this summer with Fabinho in talks over a £40m move to Al Ittihad.
However, the Reds will not consider offers for Luis Diaz despite a €50m verbal approach from Al Hilal. The Colombian is an integral part of Klopp’s plans for the new Premier League season and Liverpool have no intention of discussing a deal.
