Jarrod Bowen ‘open’ to making Liverpool move

Jarrod Bowen is ‘open’ to a move to Liverpool as speculation continues to surround interest from Merseyside in the West Ham winger.

Bowen has frequently been linked with a move to Liverpool following an excellent individual season, with the 25-year-old taking his haul to five goals for the season with a brace in the 2-0 win over Norwich on Wednesday evening.

Bowen leads the Premier League for goal involvements (12) amongst all English players this season and Jurgen Klopp is understood to have considered the winger as he looks to add depth to his forward options.

He has been linked with a call-up to the England squad and has added a further six goals and assists in cup competition and Europe for West Ham this season.

Football Insider are reporting that Bowen is keen to make the move to Anfield if a deal can be agreed during the summer transfer window, with the Reds’ recruitment staff currently running the rule over the forward.

Liverpool are not expected to make signings this month, despite the departures of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane to the Africa Cup of Nations. West Ham would also be resistant to a sale during the January window as David Moyes’ side pursue Champions League qualification.

Liverpool have also been linked with Leeds’ winger Raphinha and Villarreal’s Arnaut Danjuma as Klopp looks to provide competition and cover for his established front options.
