Inter Milan vs Pisa – Match preview and team news

    • Date: Friday, 23rd January.
    • Kick-off: 7:45pm GMT.
    • Venue: The San Siro, Milan.

Inter Milan team news

Inter are missing key figures Hakan Calhanoglu and Denzel Dumfries for tonight’s encounter. Calhanoglu, who has scored seven goals in Serie A this season, has a muscular issue. Tomas Palacios and Raffaele Di Gennaro are also ruled out for the Nerazzurri.

Pisa team news

Pisa’s plight is troubled further by a wealth of absentees. Dutch midfielder Calvin Stengs is still sidelined with a thigh problem, while veterans Raul Albiol and Juan Cuadrado also have thigh issues.

Elsewhere, Mateus Lusuardi, Daniel Denoon and Isak Vural are all set to miss out.

Form

Inter Milan

Cristian Chivu’s side are unbeaten in their last nine in Serie A, but came up short in midweek after a home defeat to Arsenal in the Champions League. Inter have won eight of those nine league fixtures, with their only blemish a 2-2 draw with title rivals Napoli.

Chivu’s side are comfortably the league’s leading scorers with 44 goals. A quarter of those goals are accounted for by Lautaro Martinez, who is Serie A’s top scorer in 2025-26.

Pisa

Pisa are in the relegation places, sat 19th, and winless in 10. However, a draw with Atalanta last time out – featuring a goal from new signing Rafiu Durosinmi – has lifted spirits. That result followed another draw with Udinese to breathe new life into their survival bid. Pisa are currently three points from safety.

Predicted lineups

Inter Milan: Sommer; Bisseck, Acerbi, Bastoni; Henrique, Barella, Zielinski, Sucic, Dimarco; Thuram, Martinez.

Pisa: Scuffet; Calabrese, Canestrelli, Coppola; Toure, Marin, Aebischer, Angora; Moreo, Tramoni; Durosinmi.
