Callum Hudson-Odoi is ready to commit his long-term future to Chelsea after holding positive talks with new manager Frank Lampard.
The teenager’s future at Stamford Bridge had been in doubt as talks over a new deal stalled, with the winger wanting assurances over his playing time.
Hudson-Odoi was reported to be disillusioned with life at Chelsea, having failed to establish himself in Maurizio Sarri’s plans in the first half of last season.
The 18-year-old was subject of interest from Bayern Munich in January, with the Bundesliga side seeing several bids rejected as they attempted to take the highly-rated prospect to Bavaria.
Having eventually broken into Maurizio Sarri’s team towards the back end of last season, Hudson-Odoi suffered a serious Achilles injury against Burnley back in April, an injury that is likely to see him miss the start of next season.
Bayern were expected to return with renewed interest, however, according to Goal, Hudson-Odoi is now ready to pen a new long-term deal following talks with Lampard.
The new Chelsea boss is believed to have convinced the winger that his future remains at Stamford Bridge, with the England international ready to sign a new five-year deal worth a reported £100,000-a-week.
