‘His analysis is amazing’ – Tierney offers insight into Arteta’s management

Kieran Tierney has offered an insight into the management of Mikel Arteta and has praised the Arsenal head coach for his analysis and attention to detail.

Arteta was named as the replacement for the sacked Unai Emery in December and the club have shown steady signs of progress under his tutelage, the Gunners unbeaten in eight league fixtures prior to the suspension of the Premier League amid the ongoing pandemic.

The Spaniard spent three seasons working alongside compatriot Pep Guardiola at Manchester City before moving to north London and full-back Tierney – who is yet to play under Arteta following a dislocated shoulder – has been full of praise for the methods of the new Arsenal boss.

“I’ve seen all his video meetings, I’ve been in the meetings together as a team,” Tierney said, as per The Mirror. “Before the games, after the games, and just his analysis is amazing.

“In Dubai for the winter break, I was doing some one-to-one work with him, and that’s when I realised ‘this is brilliant’.

“Just to me like, he knows what’s going to happen in a game and how it’s going to happen. What you should do, where you’re going to get pressed from and where your options should be.

“You should know where the left mid’s going to be, the centre-mid, so you can just play in sync. Everybody’s one brain and I think that’s perfect.”
