Eden Hazard says Chelsea’s 1-1 draw at Manchester United was a ‘good day’, but admits the result could have been better.
Marcus Alonso’s goal secured a point for Maurizio Sarri’s side at Old Trafford, after former Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata had opened the scoring for the home side.
The draw leaves Chelsea in fourth, two points clear of Arsenal in the race for Champions League qualification, and Hazard admits avoiding defeat to fellow top-four rivals United was a good result for his side.
“A good day but could be better,” Hazard told Sky Sports.
”We came here thinking about winning the game, a draw is not a bad result for us but I think if we believe a bit more in our chances we can score another goal. We now have two games and we will try and be in the top four.
“We started slowly but today we had a reaction and scored our goal. I don’t remember one chance for them in second half and yes we just played a good game.
“The game was hard, in a good way, this Man Utd – Chelsea game is always tough.”
