Eden Hazard has hinted that his time as a Chelsea player could be coming to an end by saying ‘it might be time to discover something different.’

The Belgian has been one of the star performers at this summer’s World Cup in Russia, helping his country to their best ever finish in football’s most prestigious tournament.

While Hazard has been strutting his stuff over in Russia, back at home, it has been a turbulent summer for his club Chelsea, who until this week still hadn’t signed any players, and hadn’t resolved the future of manager Antonio Conte, who had been expected to be sacked as soon as the 2017/18 campaign drew to a close.

Things have however got better for Blues fans though, with Maurizio Sarri being confirmed as the club’s new manager, before they quickly announced that Italy international Jorginho would be following him from Napoli.

However just as things were starting to look up for the Stamford Bridge faithful, Eden Hazard has plunged his future at the club into doubt.

Speaking after Belgium’s 2-0 win over England, Hazard told Belgian outlet HLN: “After six wonderful years at Chelsea it might be time to discover something different.

“Certainly after this World Cup. I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision – if they want to let me go. You know my preferred destination.”

Hazard has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for a number of years, although the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus this summer could see him finally make a move, with PSG duo Kylian Mbappe and Neymar also having been linked.
