Jack Harrison says ‘ambitious’ Leeds are aiming for a top half finish this season following an impressive return to the Premier League.
Leeds returned to the Premier League following a 16-year absence this season and have made a positive impact in the top flight under Marcelo Bielsa, winning admirers for their attacking approach and picking up a series of strong results.
Bielsa’s side have remained comfortably clear of the relegation places and currently sit 11th in the division ahead of this weekend’s Yorkshire derby with Sheffield United, with Harrison insisting the side are looking upwards and aiming for a top 10 finish.
“I think for us we like to be ambitious as a team.” Harrison told a pre-match press conference.
“It’s definitely something that we can achieve so yeah we will be looking to do that.
“You can’t be complacent with any game in the Premier League, I think us as a team will be ready for every game so we are going to take it as a normal match, prepare like we have been all week already and make sure that we are ready on Saturday.”
Leeds could be without midfielder Mateusz Klich for the clash at Elland Road, after the 30-year-old tested positive for Covid-19 during the international break, missing Poland’s fixtures with Hungary, Albania and England.
