Erling Haaland has set a new record for the most Premier League goals scored in the Manchester Derby.
Haaland hit the winner as Manchester City claimed a 1-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford, in a derby filled with flash points and massive refereeing calls.
City secured their 10th away win at Manchester United in the Premier League era, a record for visiting teams, despite Phil Foden’s first-half red card.
Inevitably, it was Haaland who scored the winner with his controversial effort, given by VAR despite being flagged for an initial offside, deciding the game.
Haaland has haunted Manchester United since his arrival in the Premier League and has now scored nine goals in eight league appearances against the Red Devils.
His latest effort saw him move past Sergio Aguero and Wayne Rooney as the outright leading scorer in Premier League Manchester derbies. United will be sick of the sight of him.
