The UEFA Champions League returns for the 2026/27 season with 36 teams vying for the ultimate glory in club football.
Only a select few elite clubs, though, have a realistic shot at lifting the trophy in Madrid next May.
Paris Saint-Germain are, unsurprisingly, considered the bookies’ favourites to win the competition for a third straight season after Luis Enrique guided his squad of superstars to success this year and last.
Barcelona are, by the odds, the team most likely to unseat the Parisians from their throne after making considerable additions this summer, signing the likes of Rodri, Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi.
Arsenal are in the top three after reaching last year’s final, which they lost to PSG on penalties, as they look to win the Champions League for the first time in their history.
Bayern Munich were arguably the second-best team in the tournament last term, yet Vincent Kompany’s side have only been installed as fourth-favourites to take the crown.
Having won the competition a record 15 times, Real Madrid can never be counted out of contention. Their new manager, Jose Mourinho, has won the Champions League twice in his career, though it’s been 16 years since his last triumph with Inter Milan.
Manchester City are sixth-favourites after a summer of flux, which saw them lose legendary manager Pep Guardiola and their most important player in Rodri. They have spent a massive amount of money on new signings, but will it be enough to win the trophy for the second time?
Liverpool and Manchester United are just behind them in the odds, though it would be something of a shock if either team won the whole thing.
