Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has been named as the Premier League’s manager of the month for February.
The Spaniard oversaw four consecutive league wins during the month, including comprehensive wins over top-six rivals Arsenal and Chelsea.
The highlight was undoubtedly that win over Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea, Sergio Aguero hitting a hat-trick in an emphatic 6-0 win at The Etihad, one of seven goals scored by the Argentine forward in the month as he claimed the Player of The Month award.
The 28-year-old also hit a hat-trick in the win over Arsenal, and now leads the Premier League scoring charts with 18 league goals.
City’s hot streak of form has seen them overtake Liverpool at the top, the champions now leading Jurgen Klopp’s side by just a single point in the title race.
Surprisingly, it is the first time this season that either Guardiola or Aguero have won the individual monthly awards.
