Gabriel Martinelli is a transfer target for Barcelona with the Spanish side having shortlisted the Arsenal winger ahead of the summer window.
Barcelona want to sign a left-sided winger in the summer and are assessing options, with Martinelli understood to feature highly on the club’s list of candidates.
Martinelli has emerged as one of the best young talents in the Premier League at Arsenal and enjoyed a career-best campaign last term, scoring 15 league goals for the Gunners.
The Brazil international has struggled to replicate those numbers this season but remains a player of huge promise and Mundo Deportivo claim Barcelona are interested.
However, financing a deal could prove problematic for the Catalans, unless significant sales are made. Ansu Fati, currently on loan at Brighton, and former Arsenal transfer target Raphinha could be among those to depart in a bid to bring in funds.
Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is also mentioned as an option, despite recent comments from the Georgian’s agent that he remains happy in Serie A.
The 22-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough campaign as Napoli were crowned Italian champions for the first time in 33 years last season, scoring 14 goals and providing 17 assists in all competitions.
Barcelona are understood to have ruled out Nico Williams after the winger signed a new deal at Athletic Bilbao, though Brighton’s Kaouru Mitoma is of interest.
The Japan international could be allowed to leave the Seagulls in the summer after an agreement was reached to sign Ibrahim Osman from Danish Superliga club Nordsjælland.
