Frankfurt forward hints at summer move amid Manchester United interest

Randal Kolo Muani has hinted at a summer move from Eintracht Frankfurt amid reports linking the forward with a move to Manchester United.

Kolo Muani has emerged as a transfer target for the Red Devils after a brilliant debut season at Frankfurt, one which has seen the 24-year-old score 16 goals and provide a further 14 assists across all competitions for the Bundesliga side.

That form has attracted interest from across Europe with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain among the clubs said to be considering a summer move.

Kolo Muani’s performances have also seen him break into the France squad and he has linked up with Les Bleus as their Euro 2024 qualification campaign begins with fixtures against the Netherlands and Ireland.

Ahead of those games, the forward has discussed the talk surrounding his future and admits he has always ‘dreamed’ of representing a ‘big club’.

“We talk about it a lot already, but I try to be focused on my club,” Kolo Muani told French publication L’Equipe.

“We continue our performances and we will see this summer. Afterwards, I always dreamed of playing in big clubs.”

Kolo Muani signed for Frankfurt on a free transfer from Nantes last summer and has emerged as one of the season’s breakout stars in Europe’s top five league. He admits even he has been surprised with the speed of his development but believes he is ready for ‘any challenge’.

“I thought I was going to need some time to adapt, maybe a year. But everything exploded. Either way, I’m ready for any challenge.

“I ask the club to get me my statistics on my matches each time. I share this with my physical trainer to know what to improve. I do a lot of goals and assists, but it’s not at the level where I should be. I still miss quite a bit. This is only my third (full) season as a pro.”
