France will aim to preserve their perfect start in the UEFA Nations League when they meet Belgium on Monday, in their final fixture of this international window.

Les Bleus currently lead Group A1 under new head coach Zinedine Zidane and arrive at the Stade de France unbeaten.

Zidane’s side opened their Nations League journey with back-to-back 1-0 wins. They first beat Türkiye away from home, then edged Belgium in Brussels thanks to Michael Olise’s late solo goal. Their most recent outing ended in a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Italy at the Stade de France, leaving France on seven points from three matches.

France team news

France will be without several important players for the visit of Belgium. Centre-back Dayot Upamecano is suspended after receiving a late red card in the draw against Italy, meaning Zidane is expected to pair Maxence Lacroix with Jérémy Jacquet at the heart of the defence.

Captain Kylian Mbappé is also unavailable as he continues his recovery from a left-knee injury picked up earlier in the match against Türkiye. In his absence, Ousmane Dembélé is likely to captain the team once more.

Zidane has indicated that he plans to rotate his squad because of player fatigue, so several changes to the starting side are anticipated. Eduardo Camavinga and Rayan Cherki are both in contention for starting roles, while Olise—who scored against Italy—could again lead France’s attack.

France predicted lineup

Possible France starting XI: Maignan; Kalulu, Jacquet, Lacroix, Truffert; Cherki, Da Cunha, Camavinga; Olise, Dembele, Doue
