Bruno Fernandes has outlined his ambitions to win major silverware at Manchester United and has urged to the club to sign players who are ‘hungry for titles’.
The Portuguese international has made a huge impression since his mid-season arrival at Manchester United, scoring three goals and providing a further four assists in just nine appearances in all competitions.
Fernandes has made an immediate impact and his performances have helped raise optimism around Old Trafford, and the midfielder wants any further arrivals to share his desire to win titles in the coming seasons.
“We already have a big team, but whoever comes needs to come to win,” Fernandes said in a Q&A on Man Utd’s official website. “Just to focus to win, I want people hungry for titles and everything.
“I feel this now in the group, everyone wants to win.”
Fernandes reiterated his desire to win the game’s biggest prizes after moving to English football, and the playmaker is confident Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have the potential to challenge for major honours in the near future.
“I want to win everything. I’m hungry to win everything. I came to Manchester to win, to win titles, league, Champions League, everything,” he added.
“We know the potential Manchester have, because we are a young team, young players, but we’ve got a lot of quality.
“It doesn’t matter if we’re young and the others have more experience than us, because we have also experienced players who can help the youngest.
“The mix we have now and in the future, I don’t know what will happen in the next season, of course Manchester is a big club and normally they buy someone because you are a big club and everyone wants to come here.”
