Now that the World Cup is over, it’s time to turn our attentions to Fantasy Premier League ahead of the 2026/27 season.Â
In preparation for the new campaign, FPL have announced that 11 players have had their in-game positions changed, potentially boosting or decreasing their appeal to managers.
There are a number of high-profile reclassifications, most notably Manchester City’s Omar Marmoush, who has been changed from a midfielder to a forward.
Manchester United’s Patrick Dorgu has been changed from a defender to a midfielder, which makes sense after playing so high up the pitch last season.
Myles Lewis-Skelly, who made his breakthrough as a full-back at Arsenal, is now a midfielder after playing centrally towards the latter end of last term.
Eli Junior Kroupi will be classified as a midfielder instead of a forward, though it remains to be seen whether he will still be at Bournemouth or playing in the Premier League at all by the end of the transfer window.
Elsewhere, Brentford’s Keane Lewis-Potter has been changed from a defender to a midfielder, while down the road at Fulham, Ryan Sessegnon is a defender once again after being reclassified as a midfielder last season.
