The Toffees have shown real improvement since the return of David Moyes to Goodison Park. The Scot has made Everton tough to beat again with the Blues having lost just three of his 14 league games in charge.

Though there’s little to play for in terms of league position, Moyes will be running the rule over his squad to assess who will form part of the long-term plan.

Chelsea, in contrast, are in dire need of points. The West Londoners have dropped outside of the Champions League places with just five games to go.

James Tarkowski will not play again this season after the centre-back was withdrawn against Manchester City last week with a hamstring injury.

Michael Keane replaced Tarkowski last weekend and is the likeliest option to deputise at Stamford Bridge. Dominic Calvert-Lewin remains sidelined for Everton, while fellow forward Armando Broja is ineligible to face his parent club.

Loanee Jesper Lindstrom could have played his final game for Everton after undergoing hernia surgery.
