Everton linked with £35m move for Callum Wilson

Everton are ready to launch a £35m move for Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson.

Marco Silva is desperate to add to his forward options this summer, with the ambitious Merseyside club preparing a move to bring England international Wilson to Goodison Park.

The 27-year-old has enjoyed an impressive season for Eddie Howe’s Cherries, scoring 14 league goals and has been included in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for this summer’s Nations League finals.

Everton are claimed to be ‘very interested’ in Fulham’s Aleksander Mitrovic, but according to The Sun, will now make a bid for former Coventry player Wilson.

Wilson would appear a better fit for Silva’s side than target man Mitrovic, with the forward’s pace and mobility likely to compliment the likes of Bernard and Richarlison in the Everton frontline.

Silva has made signing a striker his priority this summer, believing his side is just a high-quality frontman away from challenging the Premier League‘s top six, the Blues having failed to adequately replace Romelu Lukaku since his £75m departure to Manchester United in 2017.

The report does, however, claim that they ‘could be forced to sell Idrissa Gana Gueye in order to finance a deal, with the dynamic midfielder having been linked with Manchester United and PSG.
