Everton to make €35m+ bid as Marco Silva makes Arsenal target Malcom a ‘priority’

Everton are reported to be keen on signing Barcelona winger, Malcom, with Marco Silva apparently making him a ‘priority’ in this summer’s transfer window.

12 months ago, Malcom was a name on everybody’s lips following his fine season at Bordeaux, with the Brazilian scoring 12 goals and providing seven assists in Ligue 1 in 2017/18.

His form saw him linked with a whole host of top Premier League clubs, including Man Utd, Spurs and Arsenal, but it would be Spanish giants Barcelona who would win the race for his signature in a €41 million move.

However, his debut season at the Camp Nou was less than impressive, starting just six games for the La Liga giants, scoring one and providing two assists in the league.

He has once again been linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks, but according to French outlet RMC Sport, Everton are set to make a move for the 22-year-old.

They claim that Marco Silva has made the winger one of his priorities this summer, and will lodge a bid in excess of €35m (£31.3m).

Everton have a decent relationship with the Spanish champions, with the Merseyside outfit having negotiated deals to take Andre Gomes, Lucas Digne and Yerry Mina to Goodison Park in the last 12 months.

The Toffees have already been linked with Malcom’s compatriot David Neres this summer, who has impressed with Ajax this season and was part of Brazil’s Copa America winning squad.
