Everton boss David Moyes confirmed that the club had been in contact with PGMOL after they were denied a penalty against Manchester United on Saturday.
The Toffees were initially awarded a spot kick on the field by referee Andy Madley after Ashley Young was seemingly fouled in the box in added time at Goodison Park.
However, the official reversed his decision after being instructed by video assistant referee Matt Donohue to review the incident at the pitchside monitor.
The penalty would have given Everton the opportunity to go ahead for a second time and potentially beat Man Utd after letting a two-goal slip at home. Beto and Abdoulaye Doucoure scored in the first half before impressive strikes from Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte levelled matters late on.

Moyes maintains that the VAR should not have gotten involved in the situation, but says Everton want to leave it in the past ahead of Wednesday’s trip to Brentford in the Premier League.
“I still feel exactly the same as I did at the time in the game,” he told his pre-match press conference.
“I thought it was a penalty kick and I was a little bit surprised he went to VAR. Then I watched it again in the changing room and was really surprised he went to VAR.
“Obviously we’ve been in touch to check it out and spoke with PGMOL. It’s gone, it’s past now. We can’t do anything about it. It was disappointing we didn’t get it but we move on.”
