Former Chelsea and Everton forward Samuel Eto’o has urged Mohamed Salah to leave Liverpool and join Barcelona.
Salah has developed a reputation as one of Europe’s finest players since arriving at Anfield in 2017, scoring 71 goals in 104 appearances for the club and helping Jurgen Klopp’s side to Champions League success last season.
Real Madrid have been linked with a big-money move for the 26-year-old, as they look to rebuild following a disappointing season in the Spanish capital.
However, Eto’o, who has played for both Real Madrid and Barcelona, believes the latter would be a better fit should Salah decide to leave Liverpool for Spain.

“Real [Madrid] gave me the opportunity to leave Africa, but I know Barcelona’s style and I think it would be better for him,” Eto’o told the BBC.
“If he has the chance to play in the best league of the world, which is the Spanish one, he has to sign for Barcelona.
“Mo has everything to be one of the best players in the world.”
