Estimating the results of every Chelsea Premier League game until the year’s end in 2023

Since Thomas Tuchel was sacked from Chelsea in 2022, the team has experienced a decline in their quality of play and team strength. On July 1st, a month and a few days before the start of the English Premier League 2023/2024, Mauricio Pochettino was hired as the head coach of Chelsea.

Fans of the club hoped this would mean a positive change from the poor performance of the 2022/23 season. However, their performances under Pochettino have been subpar, appearing many times in the bottom ten of the league over the past weeks.

Their record so far has had some noteworthy moments, such as the 2-2 draw against Arsenal, beating Tottenham 4 -1, and a thrilling draw with Manchester City. Currently, the club sits 10th on the table, winning four games out of 13, drawing four, and losing five. Their sporadic wins and draws make them quite unpredictable, but we have analysts who carefully analyse their position and strength for upcoming matches.

You’ll find here predictions so far on Chelsea, and other predicted results for matches in the Premier League. For the remaining six matches of the year, we present you with predictions.

Chelsea vs. Brighton

Brighton Hove & Albion has long been a favourite underdog team in the Premier League, giving all opposition tough matches. Over thirteen games, Brighton have won six matches, drawn four games, and lost three. In those six wins, they’ve recorded victories against Luton Town, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Newcastle United, Manchester United, Bournemouth, and Nottingham Forest.

With 22 points, they sit eighth on the Premier League table. Chelsea are 10th, with 16 points obtained with four wins, four draws, and five losses. So far, Chelsea have appeared to play at the level of their opposition, playing poorly against teams lower down the division, while matching the strength of teams higher up the table. Chelsea have beaten Spurs and drawn with Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool, but lost games to Brentford and Nottingham Forest among others.

In the upcoming match against Brighton, we predict the Seagulls will win this game against Chelsea. After a 4 -1 loss to Newcastle in their last game, we’re not expecting Chelsea to be stellar again so easily.

Manchester United vs. Chelsea

The rivalry between Manchester United and Chelsea is legendary, with both teams delivering a show whenever they meet. Head to head, over 73 matches, Chelsea have won 23 games and Manchester United have won 21 games. They’ve drawn 29 times, and this includes the last two meetings.

The last time Chelsea won against Manchester United in the Premier League was over two seasons ago and their chances look slim for this upcoming match.

However, due to the rivalry, Chelsea might step up for this game. Our prediction for this upcoming match is a draw. On another ticket, you can stake on Manchester United to win, but with a narrow goal margin.

Everton vs. Chelsea

Everton were recently found guilty of violating the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules with a penalty of a ten-point deduction. This deduction took them to the bottom of the league, currently sitting 19th on the table.

They face relegation if results don’t improve, which is enough motivation to beat Chelsea. However, with Everton’s current form and spirit, this is highly unlikely. Our football betting tips from professional analysts point to Chelsea winning this game, however, with a narrow goal margin.

Chelsea vs. Sheffield United

Sheffield United are one of the teams promoted to the Premier League this season and they’re fighting relegation with everything they’ve got. The team has had some notable matches this season, including a 2 -1 win against Wolves, a 2-2 draw against Everton, and a 1-1 draw against Brighton.

In this upcoming match, we predict Chelsea to win, but a hard-fought victory with very few goals.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Chelsea

Wolverhampton Wanderers currently sit 12th, with 15 points accumulated over the weeks. Over 13 matches, Wolves has won four matches, drawn three, and lost six. However, at Chelsea’s current pace, this upcoming match might make it their fifth win this season.

Chelsea have been unpredictable under the management of Mauricio Pochettino, and it has shown in their results since the league started. They’ve not been consistent with wins, and we don’t predict they’d be winning this match. Bet on Wolverhampton Wanderers to win but with a narrow goal margin.

Chelsea vs. Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace are not far off Chelsea in the Premier League table with 15 points accumulated over four wins, three draws, and six losses. Head to head, over the last 24 meetings, Chelsea have won 20 matches, lost four, and had zero draws. Chelsea have won the last 12 encounters and we predict a win over Crystal Palace, or at worse a draw, but with no more than two goals in the final result.

Luton Town vs. Chelsea

Luton Town is another team that got promoted to the Premier League this season. They’re also fighting relegation and have done quite well for their first campaign at this level. The Hatters are currently 17th, gradually inching away from the bottom three. They faced Chelsea earlier this season and lost 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.

We expect Chelsea to come out victorious in this last match of the year. The victory should come with at least two goals, a strong end to 2023.

These are our Chelsea predictions for the club’s remaining games of the calendar year. Mauricio Pochettino will hope to turn results around after a mixed start to his reign in west London. Regardless, we’ll be here for more analysis and predictions on Chelsea and other teams’ matches for this season.
