EPL top six on red alert as Zidane hints at Bale exit

Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale wrote himself into Champions League folklore by scoring a wondrous bicycle kick during his sides 3-1 final victory over Liverpool last night, something that will surely go down as one of the greatest strikes of all time.

However, speaking after the game the Wales international seemed to announce something of a come and get me plea to the top Premier League clubs by admitting his frustration at being left on the bench by his coach Zinedine Zidane, while also revealing that he plans on sitting down with his agent this summer and assessing his options.

Speaking after the game Real coach Zidane was adamant that Cristiano Ronaldo would stay at the 13 times European Champions, but admitted that Bale’s situation is ‘complicated,’ and that he fully understands the players frustrations.

“Bale’s situation is a bit more complicated.” said Zidane.

“It’s complicated but everyone looks at themselves. I get it.

“This is a squad and it’s not going to change.

“I try to do what’s best for the team and every once in a while it’s true that he deserves to play more.

“I understand who wants more minutes, Bale has made the difference. It’s normal to want more regularity, I understand.”

Manchester United have been linked with Bale in pretty much every transfer window since he left the Premier League in 2013 and are thought to maintain their long term interest in the wing wizard.

Other top Premier League clubs are also thought to be interested in signing the Welshman, including his former club Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool.
