DONE DEAL: Rafa’s revolution continues as Newcastle announce eighth summer signing

Rafael Benitez has continued his preparations for life in the Championship by announcing Newcastle United’s summer signing.

Earlier on today we brought you news of the deal to take Ciaran Clark from Aston Villa to Newcastle, and the Magpies quickly followed that by announcing the arrival of Mo Diame from Hull City.

Diame was an integral part of Hull’s promotional campaign last season, scoring the only goal of the game in May’s playoff final victory at Wembley.

However the 29-year old has turned down a new deal with The Tigers and has dropped back into the Championship to try gain his second consecutive promotion.

He has signed a three-year deal at the club, and his arrival could pave the way for wantaway midfielder Mousa Sissoko to finally get his wish.
