Norwich City have completed the signing of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Alex Pritchard on a four-year deal.

The 23-year old moves to the Championship after the clubs agreed an undisclosed fee after failing to force his way into Mauricio Pochettino’s first team plans.

He told canaries.co.uk:

I’m ready to come here, fight for my place and hopefully play well.

I feel I need to go out and prove myself again in football. I’m 23 now so it’s about time I had my own path really.
I’ve had a full pre-season with our first game at the weekend I’m looking forward to hopefully bedding myself in quickly.

Pritchard has spent three seasons on loan at various clubs in the English Football League, with spells at Peterborough, Swindon and Brentford respectively.

The midfielder scored 12 goals for Brentford in 2014-15, helping the Bees to the Championship Play-Offs and earning himself a place in the Championship Team of the Year.

He spent the second half of last season on loan with Premier League club West Bromwich Albion but failed to make a significant impact for the Baggies.
