Newcastle United have completed their fourth signing of the summer after announcing the arrival of Atletico Madrid full back Jesus Gamez.
The 31-year old moves to the Championship club after two years at Atletico Madrid, after spending the majority of his career at Malaga.
Gamez said:
I am really looking forward to starting the next part of my career at Newcastle.
It was the right time to leave Atletico Madrid and this is the right move for me.
We have an exciting project here, to bring Newcastle back to where it belongs, in the Premier League, and I am very happy to be a part of that.
The full back has signed an initial two-year deal at St James’ Park and becomes the clubs fourth summer signing, joining Dwight Gayle, Matz Sels and Matt Ritchie who have all joined the club over the last week.
