Aston Villa have completed the signing of former Manchester United goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini.
The Italian moves to the Championship club after Aston Villa agreed a £4.1million (€5m) deal with Serie A club Hellas Verona. He moved back to his native Italy in 2014 after spending two years as part of Manchester United’s academy.
Aston Villa manager Roberto Di Matteo said:
I am very pleased to have brought in Pierluigi.
We have managed to sign him despite the fact he was being chased by a number of top sides and that is a great sign.
He’s a young man but has plenty of experience and I’m sure he’ll prove to be an excellent signing for the Club.
The 21-year old has signed a four-year deal at Villa Park
