Aston Villa have announced the £12million signing of Fulham striker Ross McCormack.
The 29-year old will move to Villa Park ahead of this weekends opening Championship fixture against Sheffield Wednesday, where they will attempt to get a good start in their bid to gain promotion back to the Premier League.
McCormack has been one of the most prolific strikers in the Championship over the last few seasons, scoring 66 goals for the London club.
Villa boss Roberto Di Matteo said:
I’m delighted to bring Ross on board. He’s a player with proven track record and plenty of experience in the division.
He is a player whose goalscoring record has been excellent everywhere he has been and we feel he can be an important addition.
The striker has signed a four-year deal at the club.
