Manchester United have beaten Chelasea to the signing of Romelu Lukaku from Everton.
The Red Devil’s have announced that they have officially agreed a fee to sign the 24-year-old striker, believed to be in the region of £75m, plus £15m in performance related bonuses. This means the deal has the potential to become a world record £90m fee.
A statement on the club website reads:
Manchester United is delighted to announce that it has agreed a fee with Everton for the transfer of Romelu Lukaku. The transfer is subject to a medical and personal terms.
A further announcement will be made in due course.
Lukaku has been on holiday with current world record transfer Paul Pogba in Los Angeles, and both players will now report for Manchester United’s pre-season training camp at UCLA on Sunday.
Pogba revealed via his Instagram account the moment that his friend announced he was moving to Manchester United.
