Dalot backs Bruno Fernandes to become a Manchester United 'legend'

Diogo Dalot has backed teammate Bruno Fernandes to become a Manchester United ‘legend’ following the midfielder’s impressive start to his career at the club.

The Portuguese international has made an instant impact following his mid-season arrival from Sporting Lisbon, scoring three goals and providing a further four assists in all competitions prior to the suspension of the season amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Fernandes’ arrival has coincided with an upturn in form for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side who are now unbeaten in their past 11 fixtures, with the midfielder named as the Premier League‘s Player of the Month following a seamless adaptation into English football.

Manchester United full-back Diogo Dalot has now praised the impact of his compatriot since his arrival at Old Trafford, and believes the 25-year-old has already shown he has all the attributes to achieve legendary status at the club.

“He’s a top guy, a top player. He is going to be a legend,” Dalot told the Manchester United Podcast.

“He’s unbelievable, he can be better of course as well. He’s going to learn a lot from this club.

“I think he is a massive player to have in this team and he’s going to be a very good player for this club. He’s going to be [a legend], no doubt about that.”
