Coventry City are bidding to avoid an unwanted piece of club history when they travel to Manchester City on Saturday.
Frank Lampard’s side have failed to score in either of their opening Premier League fixtures, and going a third straight league game without a goal would be the first time that has happened at the start of a season in the club’s history.
Lampard has called for “no fear” and “bravery” from his players despite the scale of the challenge at the Etihad, while acknowledging the reality of facing one of the division’s superpowers so early in Coventry’s return to the top flight after 25 years.
