Former Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has admitted that he would like Eden Hazard to join him at Real Madrid someday.
Courtois angered Chelsea fans by not showing up to pre-season training in order to force through a move to the Bernabeu.
Although the 25-year-old did sent an heartfelt message to Blues supporters earlier today, he is sure to have further enraged fans of the Stamford Bridge club by revealing that he hopes Hazard joins him at Real in the future.
‘He [Hazard] is happy that I have arrived because he knew it was my dream,’ Courtois said at his official unveiling as Real Madrid player.
‘He is a great player and if he could come here one day it would be fantastic.’
Despite spending three season at Real’s city rivals Atletico, Courtois insisted that it has always been his dream to play at the Bernabeu.
The Belgium international also revealed that he hopes in time Chelsea fans will forgive him and remember the good times they had during his four seasons at Stamford Bridge.
‘I know at the moment they are not too happy, but I hope they remember what was achieved. I needed a new challenge. Now I’m at a club that I have always wanted to be at. I don’t think I’ve ever kissed a badge before.’
