Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has admitted his regret over his sides poor run of form in 2018.
The Blues have lost four of their last five Premier League games, and have only won two league fixtures so far this year.
Speaking ahead of his sides fixture against Crystal Palace tomorrow Conte said:
“Our confidence, for sure when you lose many games in a row it is not simple, but for sure we have to regret the games against Bournemouth, Watford, Manchester United.
“When we play against City there is the possibility to lose the game, but our confidence is normal. We are working very well – like always – and tomorrow we’ll see the performance if we are good enough to get three points.
“I think they [Crystal Palace] have lost their last couple of games, against Tottenham and United. We need to have a good performance and we need three points but we know we are playing against a really good team. with good talented players. But for sure we need to get three points.”
Defending Premier League Champions Chelsea’s poor run of form has seen them slip to fifth in the league, five points behind fourth placed Spurs.
The Blues now face a serious battle to make into the top four this season, and matters at the club will hardly have been helped by rumours that Conte’s agent is set to meet with PSG officials next week with a view to him taking over as manager of the French side next season.
