Chelsea have received a welcome injury boost ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with London rivals West Ham, with the news that goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and winger Pedro are set to be available for selection.
Both players missed the Blues recent 3-1 home defeat to Spurs, which saw the Stamford Bridge club slip eight points away from the top four, and all but ended their chances of qualifying for next seasons Champions League.
Courtois has been suffering with a hamstring injury and Pedro has been struggling with a unconfirmed muscular issue. However a report in the London Evening Standard has confirmed that both players have returned to full training and will be in contention to start against the Hammers.
Italy international full back Davide Zappacosta is also set to return to Antonio Conte’s squad after recovering from a tendon injury.
Speculation surrounding the future of Chelsea’s under fire manager further intensified today with report suggesting that the Stamford Bridge club have stepped up their chase to replace the Italian coach.
