Jorginho remains happy at Chelsea despite continued speculation linking the midfielder with a move to Juventus, according to the player’s agent.
The Italian international signed for Chelsea from Napoli two years ago and after initially enduring a difficult start to life in English football, has established himself as a key figure at Stamford Bridge under Frank Lampard this season.
Speculation has continued to surround the 28-year-old’s future, however, with former Blues’ and Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri reportedly keen on reuniting with the midfielder for a third time at Juventus.
The player’s agent, Joao Santos, has now discussed the rumours and moved to dismiss speculation his client could head to Turin this summer, suggesting talks could even begin over a new deal to extend Jorginho’s stay in the Premier League at the end of the season.
“I read that, but I never had contact with them,” Joao Santos told Calciomercato.
“Neither Sarri, nor [Juve’s chief football officer] Fabio Paratici called me to have information on Jorginho.
“As of today, I know absolutely nothing about this situation. The lad is very happy in London, where he is proving his worth and still has three years left on his contract.
“In fact, in July there’s the possibility we can start talks to add a fourth and extend his contract with Chelsea.
“I don’t know what Juve’s transfer strategy is, but these are our plans for the future.”
