Chelsea will continue to monitor the progress of Hakim Ziyech over the remainder of the season as the club prepare a move for the Ajax midfielder this summer.
Frank Lampard is currently identifying his transfer targets ahead of the summer window with the Chelsea boss keen to strengthen his squad at Stamford Bridge, the club having been frustrated in their attempts to sign new additions during January following the lifting of the club’s transfer ban.
Ziyech is one player Lampard is keen on signing this summer as he bids to add creativity to his ranks, the west London side having seen an approach for the 26-year-old rejected by the Eredivisie champions last month.

According to the Telegraph, Chelsea will continue ‘monitoring’ Ziyech over the next few months ahead of a renewed approach this summer, the club confident of landing a player who has starred on the European stage in recent seasons.
Ziyech has established himself as one of the best creative talents outside of Europe’s top five leagues in recent years, starring once again for Ajax this season with eight goals and 18 assists in all competitions for Erik ten Hag’s side.
Having seen the likes of Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt leave the club last year, Ajax are now ‘braced’ for further interest in their leading talents this summer, with Ziyech joining the likes of Donny van de Beek and David Neres in attracting interest from the continent.
Despite refusing Chelsea’s approach last month, the Amsterdam side are accepting that it will be more difficult to keep hold of their prized assets during the summer, with the Sun reporting that both Arsenal and Manchester United have also expressed an interest in bringing Morocco international to the Premier League.
