Chelsea legend Pat Nevin has discussed the talents of Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood, admitting the teenager is a ‘natural goalscorer’ following his emergence at Old Trafford.
Greenwood has impressed since being handed his opportunity under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer so far this season, the 18-year-old taking his goal-tally to nine in all competitions after coming off the bench to score in the Manchester United‘s 4-0 win over Norwich this weekend.
The academy graduate continues to draw plaudits for his displays in recent weeks, and Nevin attempted to explain what makes the youngster such a ‘special’ talent following his goalscoring exploits over the course of the campaign.
“It is hard to explain what a natural goalscorer is but Mason Greenwood is one of them,” Nevin told BBC 5 Live.
“When he gets the ball he has usually only one thing on his mind but it’s his intelligence as well. Knowing when to shoot and at unusual angles. He’s unerringly on target as well.
“Greenwood is a very special player to look forward to in the future and indeed now.”
