Liverpool eased through to the Champions League quarter final stage with a 5-0 aggregate win over Portuguese champions Porto.
Jurgen Klopp’s men seem to have improved defensively since the signing of £75 million defender Virgil Van Dijk, and with their deadly front three of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Saido Mane in such blistering form the Red’s look in good shape as we enter the business end of the season.
Speaking after last night’s second leg 0-0 draw at Anfield, Chelsea legend Frank Lampard admitted that in their current form nobody will want to meet Liverpool in the next round of Europe’s most prestigious competition.
“They have got a great style for the Champions League, they can go away, be solid and counter attack with great speed up front.
“And when they get the Anfield crowd behind them they can beat anybody at home.
“No one is going to want to draw them.” Lampard told BT Sport.
