Chelsea legend Ashley Cole reckons his former club can challenge for the Premier League title this season.
Left-back Cole enjoyed a hugely successful career at Stamford Bridge, winning the Premier League and Champions League with the Blues.
Now playing his football in the MLS with LA Galaxy, the former England international has been impressed with Chelsea’s start to the season – wins over Huddersfield and Arsenal – under Maurizio Sarri and Cole reckons the Blues have what it takes to mount a title charge this season, despite finishing in fifth place last term.
“Chelsea have gone about their business a little bit quiet in terms of having a new manager, ” Cole told ESPN.
“They should be fighting for the title, but I don’t think people are [thinking that way] at the minute. To get six points from two games, it’s a fantastic start. They’ve just got to keep going.”
