Chelsea talisman Eden Hazard has admitted that he is feeling the effects of having played at last summers World Cup in Russia.
The 27-year-old attacker was one of the stars of the tournament and reached the semi-final, where his Belgium side were defeated by eventual winners France.
Despite starting Chelsea’s first two Premier League games on the bench after arriving back late to pre-season training, Hazard has been in sensational form for the Blues netting seven goals and providing four assists in 11 top-flight appearances.
While Hazard has revealed that he is tired after performing at the World Cup Chelsea fans should not worry too much with the mercurial playmaker insisting that he is enjoying his football at the moment and feels ready to perform at his best.
“Believe me, I am tired!’’ Hazard told talkSport.
“But I think I’m in good condition to play.
“Last year I got an injury with my ankle for three months. So that’s why I’m fresh now.
“And when you are happy on the pitch you can try some things. I’m just enjoying myself.”
