Celtic can take a giant step towards the Champions League’s knockout rounds when Young Boys arrive in Glasgow this evening.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are inside the play-off positions as things stand, ahead of the visit of the Swiss side. In contrast, Young Boys have lost all six of their Champions League games this season, conceding 22 goals in the process.

Celtic have not earned progress to the knockout rounds of European competition since 2019/20 and have not done so in the Champions League since 2012/13.

However, an unbeaten home record in this season’s competition has given Celtic a chance of progress. Another win tonight could secure their qualification.
