‘Get rid’ – Carragher urges Man Utd to cut their losses with ‘overrated’ Pogba after latest Raiola comments

Jamie Carragher has urged Manchester United to cut their losses and ‘get rid’ of ‘overrated’ Paul Pogba following the latest comments from agent Mino Raiola.

Pogba’s future has once again been made into a media circus following yet more controversial comments from Raiola, who has declared in an interview with Italian publication Tuttosport that the midfielder’s career with Manchester United is ‘over’.

It’s the latest controversial move from an agent who has continued to undermine the club and their management structure, regularly encouraging talk of an exit for Pogba with his latest outburst coming in the midst of a huge week for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

United face RB Leipzig this evening in a crucial winner-takes-all clash to determine which club qualifies for the knockout stages of the Champions League, before a Manchester derby meeting with Manchester City this weekend.

Carragher has blasted Raiola and Pogba following the agent’s latest unwelcome comments and has urged the Red Devils to get rid of a player signed in a world-record transfer four-and-a-half years ago, though questioned which major clubs would be interested in the France international and branded the 27-year-old as ‘the most overrated player’ he has ever seen.

“Get rid! I’ve been saying this for 12 months. The most overrated player I’ve ever seen in my life!” Carragher said, on Sky Sports.

“I think the two of them are a disgrace. We’ll all look at the agent now and ask Pogba what he thinks. Agents in this day and age, they are not just agents, they are a parent, a best friend, a financial adviser, they book holidays, they go away with each other.

“Those two will be like that (crosses fingers). He will be Pogba’s best mate. So Pogba will be well aware of what was going to come out of his mouth. And if he wasn’t, he should sack his agent.

“It’s very, very simple. That’s all that needs to happen. I mean I don’t know where he is going to go… who’s going to have him? I don’t get it?”
