Brighton owner reveals the likes of Bissouma and White can leave for ‘the right offer’

Brighton and Hove Albion owner Tony Bloom has revealed that the likes of Yves Bissouma and Ben White can leave the club, should they receive the ‘right offer’.

Despite finding themselves in and around the relegation zone for a large chunk of the season, the Seagulls impressed many with their spirited displays, most notably picking up wins away against both Liverpool and Manchester City.

Such victories have not only seen manager Graham Potter receive praise, but also some of his key men, the likes of Bissouma and White both reported to be on the radar of a number of the Premier League‘s top sides.

The former has been linked with Liverpool, Arsenal and both Manchester clubs over recent months, having produced a string of dominant midfield displays since his arrival from Lille back in 2018, the 24-year-old showcasing his tireless work ethic and ability on the ball.

As for teammate White – who recently received a call up to Gareth Southgate’s provisional England squad – he has been heavily linked with a move to a top side over the last year or so, following his pivotal role in Leeds United’s promotion campaign last term.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side saw a string of bids to sign the defender on a permanent deal turned down last summer, while the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool are also rumoured to be keeping an eye on the versatile 23-year-old.

Amid that ongoing speculation regarding those two men, in particular, Brighton owner Tony Bloom has admitted that they could be allowed to leave the Amex, if they receive the ‘right offer’.

“It’s not a flip side at all,” Bloom told The Athletic. “The more big clubs there are interested in our players, the more we’re doing right, so I’m delighted with that. We know some of our best players are not going to be with us forever.

“If the right offer comes along — and it has to be the right offer — and they want to go, then they will leave. I foresee the vast majority to be here at the beginning of next season.”
