Borussia Dortmund have set Manchester United a deadline for the transfer of Jadon Sancho with the Bundesliga side wanting a deal completed before the end of July.
Sancho is the Red Devils’ leading target during the transfer window after a move failed to materialise last summer, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side previously reluctant to match the England international’s £108m record-breaking price tag.
Dortmund are now more open to allowing Sancho to leave as the Germans bid to raise funds for their own summer of recruitment, with a fee of around €93m (£80m) plus add-ons being demanded.
According to Bild, Dortmund have also set out a timeframe for a deal to be completed and have given United a deadline of the end of July, a date the Red Devils must meet if they are to conclude a deal.
Dortmund are prepared to keep Sancho for a further season if their terms are not met this summer, though their clear demands means a deal is more likely than a year ago.
United have targeted the 21-year-old as they bid to solve a problem position on the right-hand side with Sancho having developed into one of world football’s most exciting young talents during four seasons at the Westfalenstadion.
Sancho has scored 37 goals and provided 41 assists over the past three Bundesliga campaigns and helped Dortmund to success in the DFB-Pokal in 2020/21.
