Bernardo Silva has tipped Benfica star Joao Felix to become one of the world’s best players.
The 19-year-old has emerged as one of the most in-demand young talents in world football, the forward having scored 15 league goals for the Portuguese champions this season.
Felix’s form has seen him linked with some of Europe’s biggest clubs, with the likes of Atletico Madrid, Juventus and both Manchester sides having been credited with an interest in signing the youngster this summer.
Manchester City star Silva was full of praise for his compatriot, saying he believes Felix can go on to have a ‘brilliant career’.
“Felix is a kid who is 19 years old,” Silva told Portuguese outlet RTP.
“He’s very young, he has a giant margin for progression, and he has shown that if he works, and if he makes the right choices in his career, he can make a brilliant career.
“So he could play for the best clubs in the world and can be part of a group that few players can reach.”
Benfica have recently confirmed that any potential suitors will have to pay Felix’s €120 million release clause.
