Bayern Munich are among the clubs monitoring Morgan Gibbs-White ahead of a potential move for the Nottingham Forest captain next summer.
According to talkSPORT, the Bundesliga champions are one of the leading contenders to pursue the England midfielder, who has established himself as one of Forest’s key players since joining the club from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Gibbs-White, 26, has continued to attract attention with his performances over the past year, with the playmaker registering 18 goal involvements in 2026, the most by an English player during the calendar year.

Bayern’s interest would give Gibbs-White the possibility of linking up with England team-mate Harry Kane in Munich, although there is no indication that the German club have made an offer for the midfielder.
Forest are understood to be preparing for significant interest in their captain next summer. Owner Evangelos Marinakis is expected to demand a substantial fee for Gibbs-White, having resisted Tottenham Hotspur’s attempts to sign him last summer.
Tottenham’s pursuit ended with Forest blocking the move, while the club subsequently issued a legal complaint over the circumstances surrounding the proposed transfer. Sky Sports reported at the time that Spurs had made a £60m bid for the midfielder.
Gibbs-White remains under contract at the City Ground, with his current deal running until 2028. He has also started the 2026-27 Premier League campaign strongly, recording one goal and two assists in his first five league appearances.
Forest will therefore have a significant decision to make if Bayern or another major European club turns their interest into a formal approach next summer.
For now, the reports represent interest rather than an advanced transfer, with Gibbs-White continuing to play a central role for Forest.
