Marco Asensio scored his first goals for the club with a brace, following his loan arrival from Paris Saint-Germain. Asensio’s double was assisted by Marcus Rashford as the new signings clicked at Villa Park.

The win leaves Villa eighth, but just two points from the top four and Champions League qualification.
Villa travel to the capital to face a Crystal Palace team who have won four of their last six league games. However, each of those victories came on the road with the Eagles having lost their last two at Selhurst Park.

Marcus Rashford will hope for a recall to the starting side after encouraging cameos off the bench in recent games. Since joining Villa, no player has created more big chances (4), provided more assists (2) or completed more dribbles (15) than the 27-year-old.
Axel Disasi is free to return after missing the clash with parent club Chelsea, though Villa remain without Pau Torres, Boubacae Kamara, Amadou Onana, Tyrone Mings and Ross Barkley. Morgan Rogers is expected to shake off the knock he picked up at the weekend.
